Dynamic Analysis of a Piezoelectric Transducer for an Ultrasonic Welding Device


In this project, JAR carried out a series of ANSYS full harmonic analyses of a piezoelectric transducer subjected to a forcing function of peak to peak voltage. The series of forced harmonic response analyses were run to differentiate the effects of both the mounting condition of the transducer as well as the presence and contact conditions with other components. Output data were plotted and analyzed in terms of tip displacement, current. electrical impedance and nominal piezoelectric axial stress as a function of frequency.
