During this project, JAR undertook the total responsibility for the conceptual design and analysis of a family of three, four, six and eight inch changeover valves. The scope of this work included the preparation of a preliminary assembly model as well as the iterative refinement of the design for each size based on structural calculations to establish critical dimensions for major valve components. |

The deliverables for this effort included an assembly layout, preliminary component designs and a draft Design Report for each valve size. The solid models of the valves in this project were developed using Pro/ENGINEER and the finite element based stress analysis and design optimization were carried out using ANSYS.
